"Jiva" means life in Hindi. It's a name we carry with intention — and a standard we hold ourselves to every day.
Based in Burnaby, British Columbia, we are a family-owned, proudly Canadian distributor of certified organic, kosher, vegetarian, and natural foods.
Since 1998, we've been supplying retailers, manufacturers, and food service partners across Canada with a carefully curated range of shelf-stable and bulk ingredients — nuts, seeds, dried fruits, grains, flours, oils, sugars, chocolate, and nut butters.

Our Story
Jiva Organics was founded in 1998 on a simple belief: food should nourish more than people. It should support communities, respect the environment, and create lasting relationships across the supply chain.
Built by an immigrant family:
Jiva was shaped by values lived at home, care for the earth, respect for animals, and a commitment to natural, plant-based foods free from chemicals and artificial inputs. From day one, the goal wasn't just to distribute food. It was to do it responsibly.
What began as a modest operation in British Columbia grew by staying close to people
Farmers, suppliers, and customers alike. We built direct relationships, operated with transparency, and treated service not as a function, but as a foundation.
Over the years, Jiva expanded across Canada:
Developed in-house brands including Everland and Bliss Balls, and strengthened our sourcing and manufacturing capabilities. But growth has never changed how we operate. We answer the phone. We visit our customers. We choose long-term relationships over short-term transactions. And we still approach every order with the same care we always have.
